To drive through the change needed to turn that vision into a practical reality for our residents, businesses and visitors, we have embarked on an ambitious transformation agenda putting customers at the heart of service delivery and increasing efficiency by adopting smarter more flexible working practices.
We have created two new strategic leadership roles that will be at the centre of this transformation. You will take a lead role in the evolution of services, seeking innovative and creative solutions to enhance effectiveness and deliver sustainable improvements. Through a commitment to strategic alliances, partnerships and cross-service interaction, you will lead by example, empower others and provide the best possible outcomes for our service users.
You must have a track record of successful strategic leadership in a similar organisation, with proven skills in leading multi-disciplinary terms, leveraging partnerships and managing significant change. Inspirational forward-thinking leadership is vital, with a best-practice approach to stakeholder, people and performance management. A strong customer focus is also important. You need commercial acumen to identify opportunities, and the vision to balance national and local priorities with the community awareness to champion local interests and inspire support.
